Snippets on Friday 02/22

I should have known not to make any promises. Second week of snippets and not only am I a day late I barely have anything to write about. Still, here are this week's snippets...

Sebcaen showing at Wild Vertigo

Aeleen Demina has a beautiful gallery on the Wild Vertigo sim. Right now she's showing work by Sebcaen Ulysses. I had a look around and I have to say there are some stunning pieces there.
Since I know Seb's work from his Flickr stream I'm not surprised. Pay his work a visit it is well worth it!

Art with a Heart

Shoshana Epsilon let me know she has some of her works on display at the Angel Dorei Art Museum. "A Celebration of Women" is an exhibition of works by some of the most talented women artists in SL. This show is presented in support of The Making Strides Group /ACS - breast cancer awareness and education. Please join them and celebrate Music, Art, Hope, Stength and the women in your life!
Beautiful work and an opportunity to contribute to a worthy cause, what more incentive do you need?

Another great read

Cinderella Kesey wonders on her blog whether we all need a SLcoach in our second lives. As usual it is a well written and thought provocing piece you really should read.

I've taken my Xanax now can I call you in the morning? Love your style Cindy.

That's it for this week folks. Hopefully I'll have more for you next week. If you have anything you'd like me to include in the snippets just let me know and I'll consider it.

Snippets on Friday 02/15

I'm going to try to post a bundle of short messages, announcements, trivia, whatever might be of interest on a weekly basis. It doesn't always have to be the more serious stuff right?!

Shamless plug
When I showed someone a few of my pictures on Flickr I didn't think it would lead to this: http://www.my-nightstand.com. Remains to be seen now if SL skin can compete with RL skin :-)

Mecca exposed at Magma

My dear friend Mecca Merosi is showing her art at the Magma Art Group sim. If you ask me it is well worth a visit. Her work is luscious yet tasteful, beautiful and somewhat provocative. The opening of the exhibit last weekend was a hoot I can tell you that much.

Kim at Avatrait
Kimberly Mirabeau, well know in the SL Arts community for her exquisite SL pictures has put up her work at the beautiful Avatrait Gallery. It will be on display till the end of the month. Don't miss it!

Forum thread
It seems that after I posted a pic of Bourque Rau, someone I met at a live gig at the Hummingbird Cafe, if became topic of conversation at this forum.

See, now everyone can leave their comments here ;-)

In the Mix
Check out Eidur Kappler's podcasts. If you're in for some nicely mixed Kandish Vocal House be sure to visit her here. I really liked this months mix.
